๐ Every AI assistant you have used lives on someone else's server
Your prompts, your preferences, your data. All flowing through infrastructure you do not control. If the service shuts down, your data goes with it. If you switch devices, you start from scratch.
@Ghast_AI changes that. It is a browser-native AI assistant running as a Chrome extension, with onchain memory through 0G Storage and decentralized inference through 0G Compute. One click to install. Under a minute to set up. No servers, no API keys, no Docker.
It is live on the Chrome Web Store.
The centralization trap
AI tools like OpenClaw are powerful but require server setup, gateway config, and API connections. For developers, that is a few hours. For everyone else, it is where they give up. The centralized alternatives skip setup but own your data. OpenAI Operator runs $200 per month. Google Auto Browse locks you into Google. Neither lets you own the intelligence your agent accumulates.
Even those who get past this hit another wall: memory locked to one device. Crash a hard drive and months of AI intelligence vanish.
How Ghast AI works
Three layers. Chrome Extension (MV3) handles chat, multi-model routing, 75+ tools with risk gating, encrypted wallet, and policy engine. Companion Daemon runs locally for shell execution, file access, and browser automation via CDP. 0G Network provides decentralized inference, encrypted storage, and the foundation for Agentic ID.
The architecture that matters most is memory. Four layers: working memory (18 active contexts, 72h decay), semantic knowledge graph, session archives, and 0G Checkpoint, versioned onchain snapshots that follow you across devices.
Switch machines. Your AI remembers.
Privacy by architecture
Your AI assistant knows your browsing habits, your wallets, your trading patterns. A compromised agent is a skeleton key to your digital life. TEE-based inference on 0G Compute keeps data encrypted during processing. Node operators cannot view it. Wallet encryption is client-side (AES-256-GCM). Memory is encrypted before hitting 0G Storage. Every onchain transaction is simulated before signing with per-transaction limits and contract whitelists.
Not "we promise not to look." "We physically cannot look."
The Phantom Wallet moment
Phantom made Solana usable for regular people. It grew from 1 million to over 15 million monthly active users. 24 million mobile downloads. $25 billion in self-custodied assets. One gateway app defined the ecosystem. 0G has the full infrastructure stack: compute, storage, DA, chain. What it needed was its gateway app. Ghast AI sits within 0G's broader product family alongside Zero Studio, CIB, and Bond. It is the first application built natively on the full 0G stack.
Coming next: Agentic ID
Built on ERC-7857, Agentic ID lets you mint your trained AI as an onchain asset. Not a metadata pointer. Encrypted intelligence. Buy a DeFi expert someone trained for months. Sell the agent you built. Intelligence becomes transferable. This is Phase 2 on the roadmap. The L4 onchain checkpoint foundation is already live.
Built by 0G hackathon winners, recently demoed at the AI Agents in Action summit at Hong Kong Cyberport. Pre-alpha: 1,200+ users registered, 863 actively recharging, 56 million tokens consumed. Daily active users nearly quadrupled in the past ten days. Retention climbed from 10% to 26% in the same window. People are not just trying it. They are coming back.
What does your AI assistant do with your data after you close the tab?
