📈 The AI Loop #25: Anthropic’s $900B Valuation, Big Tech’s AI Spending Surge, and AI in the ER
Welcome to The AI Loop #25.
It’s been a big week across the space. Massive valuations are pushing toward the trillion-dollar mark, while capital continues to pour into AI at an unprecedented pace.
On the Perle side, $PRL is now live on TWO major exchanges, marking a major step into one of the most active crypto markets globally. We’ve also kept busy attending events globally, staying close to the builders and conversations shaping where this all goes next. Let’s get into the updates!
Perle Labs Update
$PRL Goes Live on @Official_Upbit + @BithumbOfficial
It’s been a big week. PRL is now officially live on Upbit and Bithumb, marking a major step into one of the most active crypto markets globally. This is a meaningful milestone in growing PRL’s global presence and distribution, especially in a region that consistently leads in crypto activity and adoption.
On the Ground, Globally
We’ve just announced we’ll be attending @consensus2026 Miami, and are heading straight there after wrapping Web3 Festival in Hong Kong. The focus right now is simple: be where the conversations are happening.
A lot of what you see online is just the surface. The real signal comes from being close to how things are being built, and that’s exactly where we are right now. More to come soon.

Anthropic Nears $900B+ Valuation
@AnthropicAI is reportedly closing in on a new funding round that could value the company at $900B+, with a ~$50B raise expected to close within weeks.
This would more than double its last valuation and potentially put it ahead of @OpenAI. The round is likely its final private raise before a potential IPO, and it’s being driven by one thing: compute.
Despite strong revenue, the cost of training and scaling frontier models continues to climb. This is less about growth and more about staying competitive at the highest level.

Big Tech AI Spend Hits $725B
At the same time, Big Tech is doubling down.
@Microsoft, @Amazon, @Meta, and @Google are now expected to spend $725B on AI infrastructure in 2026, up from earlier estimates. Alphabet alone is projecting up to $190B, with Microsoft and Meta following closely behind.
This isn’t experimental anymore. It’s a full-scale buildout of the infrastructure needed to support AI at global scale.
The signal is clear: demand is accelerating, and these companies are investing ahead of it.

AI Outperforms Doctors in ER Study
A Harvard-led study found that OpenAI’s o1 preview matched or outperformed human physicians across a range of emergency room tasks, including triage, diagnosis, and case management.
The model was tested on real clinical cases and performed especially well in early-stage triage and complex diagnoses, areas where information is limited and decision-making is critical.
Researchers emphasized that this doesn’t replace doctors, but it does point to a major shift. AI is starting to perform at a high level in real-world, high-stakes environments where judgment and reasoning matter.

Stay in the Loop
That’s a wrap for the week.
This wasn’t about headline product drops, it was about the scale forming underneath. From massive valuations to record levels of infrastructure spend, the foundation of AI is being built out faster than ever.
Models will keep improving, that’s expected. But what will matter more is how they’re trained, what data they rely on, and how much trust you can place in their outputs.
That’s the layer we’re focused on at Perle.
